Courrèges - Women's Spring/Summer 2020 collection in Paris
Artistic director: yolanda zobelinspiration: the designer presents her third collection along the saint martin canal in paris, while highlighting the responsible and sustainable practices of the fashion house. two textures are emphasised, with the discovery of a new revolutionary vinyl based on algae, which allows the use of 10 times less plastic and an alliance with a brazilian ngo, instituo-e, which permits the use of pirarucu fish skin that ends up in the bins. these fish are found in fresh water and are widely used in food. collection: crochet knit tops, trousers and shorts with “paris” embroidered on the bottom. the jackets and blousons are always very attractive and the trench coats have details of skin and scales. the courrèges logo blends into a black and white check print. the sixties dresses and miniskirts appear on the catwalk with graphic cut-outs and bright tones contrasting with the white. the men have a futuristic cowboy look with their tight fitted tops and flared trousers.to note: the big colourful platform shoes, the hats and accessories + the incredible staging along the canal, allowing the public to participate in the show and with the arrival of the artist lafawndah, on a boat, singing cappalla. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
