Artistic director: silvia venturini fendi inspiration: a sunny summer in italycollection: a wardrobe that reflects the warmth of summer through bright and warm colours, ultra-light materials and a desire for simplicity. the clothes are worked with effects of transparency, perforations and quilts. the leather is plaited in macramé and large flowers decorate the silhouettes reflecting the patterns from the 60’s. there’s a desire for “effortless” clothing, which is worn with simplicity. a series of short and long skirts, wide sleeves and checks that bring a graphic touch to the fur. the accessories are made from natural materials, such as raffia, for a new interpretation of the peekaboo and baguette bags which are decorated with inlaid flowers.to note: a cast made up of bella and gigi hadid, kaia gerber and kendall jenner, their hair is kept in a messy bun or ponytail and the look is highlighted with glitter and sequins.interviews with:peter philips:with fendi, we’ve done a look that’s inspired by girls on the second or third day of a festival. we’ve used natural skin, a bit of contouring and emphasis on the eyes with really black mascara, black kohl. after the application of kohl, i asked the girls to squeeze their eyes as it gives the look as though it has already been there for a while. after i applied it, i used a mixture of glitter and gold under the eyes.silvia venturini fendi:it’s a collection that i wanted to convey an emotion and that shows summer, the sun, a day on holiday, a spirit, a feeling we get when summer approaches, we feel free, more available to others with a sense of freedom and joy. i looked for simplicity in complexity and it’s a fendi way to approach things i would say. so, even with very simple things, if you look at them carefully, they are actually quite complex serge brunschwig:it’s a demonstration of having faith in the future. i think that’s what fashion is expressing these days and that’s what sylvia wanted to say to everyone today. katie holmes:je suis heureuse d’être ici. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
